Italy Crush Nepal by 10 Wickets in Dominant T20 World Cup Win
Italy defeated Nepal by 10 wickets in the ICC T20 World Cup at Wankhede Stadium, registering their first win of the tournament with a commanding chase.
In the ICC T20 World Cup, Italy national cricket team secured a commanding 10-wicket victory over Nepal national cricket team at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on February 12.
After winning the toss and choosing to bowl, Italy restricted Nepal to 123 all out in 19.3 overs. For Nepal, Arif Sheikh scored 27 runs, while captain Rohit Paudel added 23 and Aasif Sheikh made 20. Italy’s bowlers delivered a disciplined performance, with Krishan Kalugamage taking 3 wickets and Ben Manenti claiming 2, while Ali Hasan, JJ Smuts, and Jaspreet Singh picked up one wicket each.
Chasing 124 for victory, Italy completed the target comfortably in 12.4 overs without losing a wicket. Openers Justin Mosca (60 off 44 balls) and Anthony Mosca (62 off 32 balls) played outstanding unbeaten knocks, both scoring half-centuries to seal a dominant win.
This victory marks Italy’s first win in the T20 World Cup, placing them third in Group C with one win and one loss from two matches
