Drone Ban Imposed Ahead of Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan’s Visit to Tiruppur and Coimbatore

The Vice President of India, C.P. Radhakrishnan, will be visiting his native town Tiruppur to participate in Pongal festival celebrations along with his family.

He will take part in Pongal events scheduled over two days (Wednesday and Thursday) at Pitchampalayam and Kanakkampalayam areas. During his visit, he will also offer prayers at his family deity temple.

The Vice President will arrive at Coimbatore Airport from New Delhi by a special flight at around 5 PM on Wednesday. From there, he will travel by road to Tiruppur to attend the Pongal celebrations.

On Thursday afternoon, he will return to Coimbatore and participate in events organized by two private companies. Later in the evening, he will depart for New Delhi from Coimbatore Airport at around 7 PM.

In view of the Vice President’s visit, flying of drones and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) has been strictly prohibited along the travel routes and at event venues in Coimbatore and Tiruppur.

Authorities have warned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone violating the drone ban. Heavy police security has also been deployed in all areas connected to the Vice President’s movement.
