AIIMS Recruitment 2026: 2,551 Nursing Officer Posts Announced

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has released a recruitment notification for 2,551 Nursing Officer posts across various AIIMS institutions and associated hospitals in India. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online before March 16, 2026.

Vacancies are distributed across multiple AIIMS campuses including New Delhi, Madurai, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Gorakhpur, Patna, Guwahati, Nagpur, Rishikesh, Puducherry, Raipur, and others, along with institutions such as Safdarjung Hospital and ESIC Hospital, New Delhi.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have completed:

• B.Sc (Hons) Nursing / B.Sc Nursing from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council or State Nursing Council, or

• Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM).

Applicants must also be registered with the Indian Nursing Council or State Nursing Council.

Work Experience

Candidates should have at least two years of work experience in a hospital with a minimum of 50 beds.

Age Limit

As of March 16, 2026, applicants should be between 18 and 30 years of age. Age relaxation will be provided as per government rules:

• OBC: 3 years

• SC/ST: 5 years

• Persons with Disabilities: up to 10–15 years depending on category.

Salary

The salary for the Nursing Officer post ranges from ₹9,300 to ₹34,800 per month, as per government pay scales.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected based on the NORCET preliminary examination and main examination conducted by AIIMS.

• SC/ST/EWS candidates: ₹2,400

• Other categories: ₹3,000
