IPL Matches Get Approval to Resume at Bengaluru’s Chinnaswamy Stadium
The Karnataka Cabinet has approved the resumption of IPL matches at Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, where cricket events were earlier restricted following last year’s tragic incident.
The Karnataka Cabinet has granted approval to resume cricket matches, including IPL games, at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Cricket events at the stadium had been restricted following last year’s tragic incident during RCB’s IPL victory celebrations, in which 11 people lost their lives. Authorities had imposed a temporary ban on hosting matches at the venue as a precautionary measure.
With the latest decision, the government has cleared the way for cricket matches to be held again at the iconic stadium, subject to safety and regulatory arrangements. The move is expected to bring IPL action back to one of India’s most popular cricket venues.
