Amid escalating war tensions in West Asia, Narendra Modi held telephone conversations on Tuesday with leaders from several Gulf nations, including Oman, Kuwait, and Qatar.

During the discussions, Prime Minister Modi spoke with Haitham bin Tariq, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Modi expressed concern over the ongoing attacks affecting the region and discussed measures to ensure the safety and welfare of the Indian community living in these countries.

Rising Regional Conflict

The Middle East has witnessed heightened tensions following intensified attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran. In response, Iran has reportedly increased retaliatory strikes targeting US military bases in Gulf countries such as Kuwait and Qatar, as well as locations linked to Israel.

Continued Diplomatic Outreach

Over the past three days, Prime Minister Modi has been actively engaging with leaders across the Gulf region to address the situation and safeguard Indian nationals.

He also held discussions with the King of Bahrain, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, and Abdullah II regarding the evolving regional situation.

Additionally, Modi spoke with Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates, and Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel.

These diplomatic engagements reflect India’s efforts to monitor developments closely and ensure the security of its citizens in the region amid the ongoing conflict.
