With seven teams already qualified for the Super 8 stage of the T20 World Cup, excitement is building among fans over which team will claim the final remaining spot.
The 10th edition of the ICC T20 World Cup is progressing in thrilling fashion, with the league-stage matches nearing completion.
So far, India from Group A; Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe from Group B; West Indies and England from Group C; and South Africa and New Zealand from Group D have secured qualification for the Super 8 stage.
While two teams each have qualified from Groups B, C, and D, only India has qualified so far from Group A. The race for the second spot from Group A is now between Pakistan and the USA.
Pakistan will face Namibia in Colombo tomorrow (February 18), and the result of this match will determine who takes the final Super 8 spot.
If Pakistan defeats Namibia, they will comfortably qualify for the Super 8 with 6 points. Even if the match is washed out due to rain and both teams share a point, Pakistan will still qualify.
However, if Namibia manages to defeat Pakistan, the USA will have a strong chance of qualifying for the Super 8 based on net run rate.
