The domestic currency opened at 90.76 per dollar and traded in the range of 90.67 to 90.89 during the session. It finally settled at 90.87, marking a gain of 7 paise compared to its previous close.

Last Friday, the rupee had weakened by 26 paise to close at 90.94 against the US dollar.

The slight recovery in the rupee reflects mild stability in the foreign exchange market, even as global currency movements and economic factors continue to influence trading trends.
