India–European Union Finalize Free Trade Agreement

India and the European Union have finalized a major free trade agreement aimed at boosting bilateral commerce and economic cooperation. Under the terms of the deal, 93 percent of goods exported from India to EU countries will be exempt from customs duties.

The agreement is expected to significantly enhance trade flows, provide greater market access for Indian exporters, and strengthen economic ties between India and the 27-nation European bloc. Officials believe the pact will benefit key sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture, textiles, and services, while also encouraging investment and job creation.
