Answers and Adrenaline abuzz at QUIZTRAC 2026

The 23rd edition of QUIZTRAC, Coimbatore's longest running open quiz competition took place on Sunday, 22 February 2026 at PSG College of Arts and Science. The event jointly hosted by Quiz Club of PSG CAS and Rotaract Club of PSG CAS is one of the most anticipated events in the quizzing calendar. QUIZTRAC 2026 as per convention was hosted under two categories namely Junior Category (for school students) and Senior Category (open to all). 

JUNIOR CATEGORY
A total of 64 teams participated in the Junior Category. After a written preliminary round, 8 out of the 64 teams qualified for the interactive finals. Praduth & Devansh of Chinmaya International Residential School secured the first place. Sai Pranav & Siddarth of Chinmaya Vidyalaya CBSE School secured the second place. Jayanth Kumar & Nivedkrishna of Vidya Niketan School finished third in the honours board. The winning teams were presented with cash prizes, mementoes and certificates. The Junior Category Quiz was curated by Quiz Masters Tharun & Pranesh. The junior quizz was full of energy and the passionate quizzing by the juniors augured well for the future of quizzing. 

SENIOR CATEGORY
The Open Category received an encouraging response, with 110 teams registering for the event. The Senior Track prelims was conducted smoothly in a competitive and engaging atmosphere. Dr.M.Rangarajan, one of India's leading quiz masters and the most prominent person in Coimbatore Quizzing community curated the quiz programme. The level of quizzing had to be seen to be believed as among adrenaline rush answers poured at rapid pace. 

For example there was a question  "X is known as the Best Investment of Indian Government with ₹2.45 for every Indian Rupee. X is known for its Efficiency in execution, despite its major failures. X was also known for its biggest projects, which was efficient than major films of the Hollywood. X helps almost every industry in Indian society, making it the best Investment for the Indian Government. X had its recent launch or establishment on 12th January 2026". Even before you read the question, the correct answer "ISRO" banged in from the participants. 

After a well competed quiz, Zaman S Khan & Rithwik secured the first place followed by Sarath VR & Praveen Jayaraj A who grabbed the second place while Ansar & Santhanam obtained the third place. The prizes were presented by Dr.M.Rangarajan. The winners were awarded cash prizes of ₹15,000 for the first place, ₹10,000 for the second place, and ₹7,000 for the third place. After the prize distribution, the organising clubs Quiz Club of PSG CAS and Rotaract Club of PSG CAS presented a special gift as a gesture of gratitude to Dr. M.Rangarajan. 

The organising team thanked all the sponsors for their support and honoured them by presenting mementos as a token of appreciation. Brookefields pitched in as Title Sponsor while Vijay tech park, Baby Garlic & Nisla supported as Associate Sponsors. HMR Restaurant, Tec Mac Computer Education, Gojith management consultancy and Rotary Club of Coimbatore Changemakers supported as Co Sponsors. Rithu Choco Bakes was the refreshment partner of the event. Mr.Siva Bharathi, Event Chair, Ms.Razel, Event Co Chair, Ms.Mayura, Event Secretary and Ms.Nimisha, President, Rotaract Club of PSG CAS led a wonderful team of organisers who put up a meaningful and memorable event.
