Coimbatore's 1st AWS Cloud Club inaugurated at Karpagam College of Engineering

The Computer Science and Engineering Department of Karpagam College of Engineering successfully inaugurated Coimbatore’s 1st AWS Cloud Club on 07th February 2026 at 10.00 AM in LBS Hall of college premises. 

AWS (Amazon Web Services) Cloud Clubs are student-led user groups for post-secondary level students and independent learners. Led by Cloud Club Captains, Cloud Clubs are open to any learner more than 18 years of age. The club aims to help students understand the AWS Cloud and its real-world applications across areas such as cloud computing, security, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and business transformation.
Mr.Aalavandhan Rajasekaran was installed as Captain along with Mr.V.Godwin as Chief Secretary along with a team of office bearers. 

The event was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Ms. Bhuvaneswari Subramani, AWS Hero & Ambassador and Chief Cloud Evangelist at Intuitive.ai, Bengaluru. She delivered an insightful address emphasizing the growing demand for cloud professionals, emerging career opportunities and the importance of continuous learning and certification in AWS technologies. She emphasised the significance of cloud technologies and the role of AWS in transforming industries were highlighted. She also motivated students to actively participate in cloud-based projects and innovation-driven activities. 

The event was coordinated by Ms. C.V. Vidya Prabha, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) under the guidance of the convenor Dr. D. Prabakar, Professor & Head , Department of CSE. Dr. S. Sophia, Dean – Academics  and Dr. P. Karthigaikumar, Principal, Karpagam College of Engineering encouraged the successful organization of the event.

The event augurs well for conduct of workshops and hands-on projects related to AWS services and thereby enhance collaborative learning and practical experience. By combining technical learning with real-world use cases, AWS Cloud Club would helps students build industry-relevant skills and prepare them for careers in cloud and technology-driven fields.
