As the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections are likely to be held in April, with the Election Commission expected to announce the schedule soon, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed Annamalai as its state-wide election tour in-charge.
In his new role, Annamalai will oversee and coordinate the party’s campaign travels, public outreach, and organizational activities across the state as the BJP prepares for the upcoming polls. Party sources said the move is aimed at strengthening grassroots engagement and boosting the party’s visibility ahead of the election announcement.
