From the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), senior leader M. Thambidurai has entered the contest.
The Indian National Congress has fielded Christopher Tilak as its candidate.
From the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), Anbumani Ramadoss is contesting, while the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) has nominated L.K. Sudhish as its candidate.
The Rajya Sabha elections in Tamil Nadu have drawn attention as candidates from multiple parties are competing for the six available seats. The results will play a significant role in shaping political representation from the state in the Upper House of Parliament.
