According to the latest update, the water level in the Mettur Dam decreased from 85.73 feet to 85.29 feet on Wednesday morning.

Water is currently being released from the dam at a rate of 2,500 cusecs to meet drinking water requirements.

Officials reported that the inflow into the dam remains steady at 61 cusecs, while the overall water storage in the reservoir stands at 47.43 TMC (thousand million cubic feet).

Authorities continue to monitor the inflow and water levels in the dam to manage water resources effectively in the state.
