Google CEO Sundar Pichai has expressed confidence that India will witness remarkable growth in artificial intelligence technology.
The agreement for India’s participation in the Fox Silica initiative was signed in the presence of Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw and US Deputy Secretary for Economic Affairs Jacob Helberg.
Speaking at the “India’s Transformational Potential and Impact of Artificial Intelligence” summit held in New Delhi, attended by representatives from India, the United States, and leading technology companies, Sundar Pichai highlighted India’s rapid progress in AI.
He stated that India’s growth in artificial intelligence has been extraordinary and that the country stands at the peak of rapid advancement and innovation. However, he noted that achieving the best outcomes is not guaranteed and requires collective effort.
Pichai emphasized the importance of collaboration to ensure the benefits of artificial intelligence reach everyone, everywhere. He added that the India-US partnership plays a crucial role in this effort, and Google is proud to serve as a bridge between the two nations.
He also mentioned that Google’s teams in both countries are working seamlessly on major initiatives, and innovations emerging from India — including Google Pay — are delivering high-quality products to users worldwide.
Sundar Pichai concluded by expressing strong confidence that India’s future in artificial intelligence will be exceptional, adding that Google will continue to support India across technology, infrastructure, and product development.
