AIADMK and BJP MLAs Walk Out of Tamil Nadu Assembly
AIADMK and BJP MLAs staged a walkout from the Tamil Nadu Assembly protesting a resolution related to the Governor’s address and alleging a breakdown of law and order in the state.
AIADMK and BJP legislators staged a walkout from the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly on Wednesday, protesting multiple issues during the ongoing Assembly session.
The walkout followed an incident in which Governor R.N. Ravi left the House after the National Anthem was not played. Subsequently, the Assembly passed a resolution stating that the Governor’s address had been delivered, which drew strong objections from the opposition parties.
Condemning the resolution, AIADMK and BJP MLAs alleged that the state government was undermining constitutional conventions. They also raised concerns over the deteriorating law and order situation in Tamil Nadu, accusing the ruling government of failing to maintain public safety.
Following their protest, the opposition members exited the Assembly in a symbolic walkout, intensifying political tensions within the House.
