Air India Extends Suspension of Flights to Middle East Until March 13

Air India has announced that the suspension of its flights to Middle Eastern countries has been extended until March 13.

The decision comes after several Gulf nations closed their airspace following the joint military strikes by the United States and Israel on Iran, which has escalated tensions in the region.

Due to the airspace closure over Iran and surrounding areas, many international airlines have temporarily cancelled or rerouted flights operating through the region. As a result, flights from India to various Middle Eastern destinations have also been affected.

Air India had initially suspended its international flights passing through Middle Eastern airspace from February 28. Earlier, the airline had announced that the suspension would continue until March 10, but the restriction has now been extended to March 13.

Passengers who had already booked tickets on the cancelled flights have been offered flexible options. Air India stated that travelers can reschedule their journey without paying additional charges or cancel their booking and receive a full refund.

The airline is closely monitoring the situation and will decide on further operations depending on the security and airspace conditions in the region.
