Women’s Premier League: Delhi Capitals Storm into Final After Beating Gujarat Giants
Delhi Capitals secured a dominant 7-wicket win over Gujarat Giants in the Women’s Premier League Eliminator to reach the final, where they will face Royal Challengers Bangalore in the title clash.

The Women’s Premier League (WPL) T20 tournament, featuring five teams, began on the 9th of last month and has now reached its final stage. Royal Challengers Bangalore had already secured a spot in the final, leaving the Eliminator to decide the second finalist.
The crucial Eliminator match was held in Gujarat, where Gujarat Giants faced Delhi Capitals. Delhi won the toss and chose to bowl first.
Batting first, Gujarat Giants posted a competitive total of 168 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their 20 overs. Opener Mooney was the standout performer for Gujarat, scoring 62 runs off 51 balls. In the bowling attack, Hendry impressed by taking three wickets.
Chasing a target of 169 runs, Delhi Capitals delivered a commanding performance, reaching the target in just 15.4 overs while losing only three wickets. Their opener led the charge with a quickfire 43 runs off 24 balls, guiding the team to a comfortable seven-wicket victory.
With this win, Delhi Capitals have advanced to the Women’s Premier League final. The title clash will be held in Gujarat tomorrow, where Delhi will face Royal Challengers Bangalore. The match is scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM, promising an exciting finale to the tournament.
