Australia Women defeated India Women by 6 wickets in the first One-Day International (ODI) match held in Brisbane.
After winning the toss, India opted to bat first and were bowled out for 214 runs in 48.3 overs.
For India, Smriti Mandhana scored 58 runs, while Harmanpreet Kaur contributed 53 runs.
Australia’s Ashleigh Gardner impressed with the ball, picking up three wickets.
In reply, Australia comfortably chased down the target, scoring 217/4 in 38.2 overs to seal a convincing victory.
Wicketkeeper-batter Beth Mooney top-scored with an outstanding 76 runs, earning the Player of the Match award.
Alyssa Healy added 50 runs, while Annabel Sutherland contributed 48 runs.
For India, Shree Charani claimed two wickets.
With this win, Australia now lead the three-match ODI series 1-0.
