Kaumara Mutt Festival on Jan 5–6 in Coimbatore
The Kaumara Mutt in Chinavedampatti will hold a two-day festival on January 5–6, led by Thavathiru Kumara Gurubara Swamigal. The program includes Guru Pooja, book releases, awards, rituals, cultural events, and a chariot procession. Spiritual leaders and dignitaries from India and abroad will participate.
The Kaumara Mutt in Chinavedampatti, Coimbatore, will host a grand three-part festival on January 5 and 6, led by the mutt’s head, Dr. Thavathiru Kumara Gurubara Swamigal.
The celebrations will mark the 69th Guru Pooja of Sri Ramananda Swamigal, book releases, and awards for distinguished achievers. The mutt, founded 135 years ago, is known for spreading values such as non-violence, compassion, devotion, and moral living.
Over the two days, events will include devotional music, cultural performances, rituals, annadhanam, and a special chariot procession carrying the idol of Sri Ramananda Swamigal through nearby temple routes.
Several spiritual leaders, scholars, and dignitaries from India and abroad are expected to attend, along with award recipients from various fields.
